Industrial Actuary
The Analysis team within Industrial in If, is looking for a new Swedish Actuary. The team is organized with-in the Industrial Controlling unit and includes analytical as well as actuarial functions.
Tasks
Your main task will be to calculate reserves for most Swedish lines of business in business area Industrial. This includes monthly evaluation and booking of reserves together with the Industrial Chief Actuary, anal-yses and implementation of changes to IBNR reserve models and updating the standard case reserve models in the local insurance systems.
As an actuary you will be responsible for monitoring reserve strength, deficiencies or surpluses, as well as for identifying and raising attention to significant changes in the claims development. Making use of actuarial expertise and knowledge of trends in the Swedish insurance market for recognizing profitability issues and opportunities is also of key importance.
Another important responsibility is to take part in the maintenance and development of reporting and actuari-al processes towards other functions within If, like Risk Management and Reinsurance. Close cooperation with the Industrial underwriting and claims functions as well as competence building together with Industrial actuaries in other countries, will be expected. The position allows for a great opportunity to take part in the Nordic actuary & analysis environment in Industrial.
Profile and competences
We expect you to be structured and analytical in your approach to the tasks with a solution oriented mindset. It is important that you are able to communicate results and reserve situation to Industrial management, the underwriting functions and other stakeholders.
You should have relevant education similar to the Master's program in Actuarial Mathematics.
Some experience with the SAS system would be an advantage. Good English skills, both written and oral, are required.
Workplace
You will be situated in Bergshamra, Stockholm. Some travelling can occur.
