Nordic Pricing Manager
Pricing & Development
- Prioritise pricing requests received from the Nordic Commercial Teams
- Assess underwriting risk and calculate appropriate prices for creditor and other insurance products
- Manage at least one Actuarial/Pricing analyst
- Build models and projections to enable the business to generate consistent, sound prices for new deals
- Participate and provide technical advice on the tendering to prospects or renegotiation of existing schemes
- Ensure the delivery of the price is within client expectations and as per market needs
- Drive re-pricing or re-structuring of existing unprofitable schemes
- Support the business in new product development
- Negotiation with reinsurers where necessary
Review, Implementation & Control
- Play key role in regional underwriting review Signing off or Re-structuring new business deals
- Maintain controllership and drive closure of Actuarial issues during implementation of new schemes
- Assist in the development / refinement of processes for tracking and control of insurance risks in the region
- Assist Analysis team to carry out investigations into the underlying portfolio experience
Education & Experience
- Qualified Actuary or strong Statistics/Numeric Education
- Proven experience within the Insurance or Finance industry
- Understanding of US GAAP concepts
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Strong spreadsheet analysis and modelling skills
- Business minded and profit aware
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Effective in a matrix environment
- Strong time management skills and goal driven
- General Insurance (Creditor, PA) / Pricing Domain knowledge
- Exposure to Local Markets, Products, Structures
- Data Extraction and Management Skills (e.g. from Mainframes)
- Black Belt / Quality Project experience
- Matrix Project Management experience
- Nordic language skills such as Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish highly advantageous
